Whatever you do, DO NOT watch The Descent. It is tied for the worst movie I have ever seen, along with Cabin Fever and Moulon Rouge. After watching The Descent, I find myself wishing I was a victim of SIDS so that I may have avoided such a turd of a film.

So there are a couple movies out there right now that I'd like to pitch. For starters, EVERYBODY needs to go out and buy or watch "The Secret" which is only available on DVD from the website I believe. I think you can get it from book stores now, but they have minimal quantities. Oprah just did an amazing show on "The Secret" and I tell you the energy in that room was amazing!

The other one I highly recommend is "What the Bleep? Down the rabbit hole" that was actually filmed here in Portland.

Both are an excellent look into the human mind and our untapped capabilities regarding intent, attitudes, and creating our environment or lifestyle as we progress through life.

They are both marvelous and give inspiration and hope during these ever darker days we live in. Go out and check them out if you haven't seen them!

I also need to throw on a recommendation of "An Inconvenient Truth". I finally watched that the other night and it is well worth the time to watch.

Anybody catch "28 weeks later" over the weekend and have a recommendation? I have been itching to see that movie, but it hasn't been in the cards yet. :)

Ian, Marcia and I checked out "Superbad" last night, and damn is it funny!!! Laughing I would highly recommend it to anybody still on the fence about seeing it, or definitely make it a rental when it comes out. Great damn movie. :)

Has anybody checked out "The Dark Knight" yet? We just rented "Batman Begins", so I'm all caught up and pumped to check it out in the theater, but was wondering if anybody has any feedback?

It's good. Worth watching for sure. Ledger plays an excellent joker.

We finally checked out "The Dark Knight", and it was a very good flick! I didn't realize that Two Face was going to be introduced as well. It was a very nice surprise. :) Good flick for anybody else out there thinking about checking it out.

We went and checked out the latest "Star Trek", and I must say, they did a damn good job of resurrecting that bad boy from the dead and doing a great do-over!

Well, Marcia, Kami, Roberto and I checked out "Harry Potters and the Half Blood Prince" yesterday. While it was pretty good, for being second to the last movie in the series, it was pretty damn dull!! Lots of story and buildup, but not a lot happened in terms of action. Seemed like kind of a let-down from 5, but perhaps they are setting up for the finale with 7. I don't know if I'd recommend burning 7 to 10 bucks on this in the theater though.

Marcia and I caught "Funny People" today, and I must say it's a pretty damn funny movie! Ticket prices are horrible, but this is definitely a funny one to check out.

Ian and I checked out "District 9" on Friday, and it was pretty good. Definitely did not take the story line my mind created from the trailors, but it was good none the less. I don't think I would recommend spending the money in the theater, put it on netflix, or rent it when it's available.

So we just checked out "Avatar" tonight and I must agree with the reviews that this movie is amazing and resets the bar for movies coming out! Wow, what a great movie with so many different layers, a great plot line, and fantastic visual effects. I didn't get to check it out in 3D, but I would highly recommend checking it out!
